Meet catherine eccles, Licsw

You’re already stronger than you think you are.

Learn to thrive - not just survive

You’re in the right place.

I’m here to help you reclaim your life.

No matter how your "stuff" shows itself - waking in the night with your mind racing, tightness in your chest or stomach, that negative voice in your head, a general feeling of overwhelm - I can teach you how to lessen this discomfort. I specialize in helping people who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck find practical ways to feel better.

My style

I believe that real change is possible for everyone.

I believe therapy should give you tools you can use right away. My style is collaborative, practical, and focused on helping you create real change (with a healthy sense of humor thrown in too!).

I draw from evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology and Mindfulness, and Supportive Psychotherapy.

I use a person-centered, strengths-based approach, meaning we’ll focus on what’s already working and build from there. My goal is to teach practical skills you can start using from our very first session, so you will leave feeling a little lighter, clearer, and more confident and capable each time.

My guiding principles

Understanding

We’ll explore how your past experiences and family culture have shaped you, while opening the door to new possibilities.

Change

Together we’ll discover practical tools and coping skills that lead to meaningful shifts toward the life you want.

Awareness

By noticing when old patterns or messages arise, you’ll create space for choice and a stronger sense of presence and control.

Connection

Healing happens in a safe, supportive space where you can feel seen, understood, and even find moments of laughter along the way.

who i’ve helped

Supporting people through life’s challenges and transitions.

Over the years, I’ve worked with people from all walks of life who are ready to feel better and create positive change. Some of the people I often work with include:

  • Working moms & dads - balancing careers, parenting, and self-care

  • Sandwich generation caregivers - supporting aging parents while raising kids

  • College students & young adults - navigating big transitions, stress, and identity

  • Young professionals - managing burnout, work/life balance, and relationships

  • People in midlife transitions - perimenopause, empty nest, or career changes

  • Adults facing anxiety or depression - looking for skills to feel calmer and more in control

I’ve navigated many of these experiences myself - balancing work and family, managing midlife transitions, facing anxiety and big feelings - and I continue to do so today. I bring that understanding and empathy to our work together, so you know you’re not alone.
